Based on the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s signature suicide prevention education program, Talk Saves Lives: Construction provides participants with life-saving knowledge and confidence critical to preventing suicide in the construction industry. Designed by and for construction industry professionals, this peer-to-peer program will provide a 60-minute overview of suicide in the construction industry, risk factors and warning signs of suicide, and strategies to prevent it. After attending, participants will be able to:

• Describe the impact of suicide in the construction industry

• Recognize suicide warning signs

• Provide examples of how to approach someone you’re concerned about

• List ways to seek and offer support and resources for yourself and others
