Based on the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s signature suicide prevention education program, Talk Saves Lives: Construction provides participants with life-saving knowledge and confidence critical to preventing suicide in the construction industry. Designed by and for construction industry professionals, this peer-to-peer program will provide a 60-minute overview of suicide in the construction industry, risk factors and warning signs of suicide, and strategies to prevent it. After attending, participants will be able to:
Describe the impact of suicide in the construction industry
Recognize suicide warning signs
Provide examples of how to approach someone you’re concerned about
List ways to seek and offer support and resources for yourself and others
